Welcome

Welcome to The Wood Wife, my name is Sue Sawford.

Up-cycling metal work and re-imagining its use with the addition of beautiful pieces of ‘Waney Edged’ wood, had been a hobby for a while.

Having now created a port-folio of pieces, now is the time to establish a website and  a small business venture.

 This portfolio includes a number of one-off pieces, giving me a collection utilising ‘No Longer Loved’ Sewing Machine Stands, Wrought Iron Table/Bench Stands, Railway Station Benches, French Milk Crates, Wrought Iron Shelving Brackets and Wine Racks.

These are now refurbished & brought back to life with beautiful pieces of wood which include Walnut, Cedar, Lime, English Oak, Elm, Lace Wing (London Plane).

In order to maximise the use of my wood I have also transformed off cuts into architectural art, as well as the smallest off cuts being used to make candle and tea light holders and clocks.
